Dr. Nicholas J. Cristoveanu, CCFP
As professionals, family physicians are obliged to stay up to date on advances and trends in medicine and health care delivery. While graduation from an accredited Canadian family medicine residency program provides the knowledge and skills necessary to enter the profession, this is only the first step of our educational process.
We commit to keeping up to date by participating in the CFPC’s mandatory continuing professional development (CPD) program. The CFPC upholds high standards of education and training, and grants Certification in the College of Family Physicians (CCFP) to those who have met our competency requirements. Once achieved, a CCFP must be maintained by continuing professional development and committing to lifelong learning.
Does your family doctor have a CCFP? See the CFPC’s member registry here.
